Saturday Football: Swans make a point
By FRAZER HILL | 18th February 2012.
SWANS took the lead on 15minutes in this one through marksman Dom Goymour after the Hampton hotshot picked up a nice through ball from midfield. Goymour soon scored his second of the game after Briton's nice nutmeg and cross was latched onto in a goalmouth scramble.
Half time: Warboys 0, Hampton Sports 2.
Hampton were still playing some of their best football for long while but, the defensive woes continued when a defensive slip allowed the forward in to score and undeserved goal at that point. 1-2
The mistakes did not stop there as it was another error that lead to a Warboys penalty, when OMahoney was adjudged to have fouled the winger inside the box. The resulting penalty was put away to make it 2-2.
Pep Britton said "The silly errors continue to cost us which is hard to take, we're not being beaten by good goals or anything, just by ourselves at the minute. But on reflection a point is a point in our situation and not a defeat.."

Sunday Football: Plucky Parkside make final
By FRAZER HILL | 19th February 2012.
Above: One of many spurned Swans chances.
THIS weekend saw the Sunday team take on division two side Parkside in the Hunts FA Sunday Benevolent Cup Semi-Final, a rearranged tie at Ringwood in Bretton.
It was the Swans' who were left wooing a load of missed chances, after opportunity after opportunity went begging. With it like that, it was always going to be a single goal that would win this match and that came completely against the run of play, when on the 86th minute mark Parkside's John Regan found himself on side and lashed home un-marked for the winner.
Final score: Hampton Sports Sunday 0, Parkside Sunday 1.
Speaking after the game manager Drew Springthorpe said "I couldnt have asked much more from the lads. We did everything well today but put that ball in the net. At 0-0 it is always dangerous in these type of games and unfortunately for us, the one shot they had on target turned out to be the winner on 86minutes. It was a competitive game and Parkside might not be full of big local names but they graft for each other until the end, we wish them the very best of luck in the final."
